B. OTHER PUBLICATIONS YOU MUST OBTAIN:
1. Airworthiness Manual Chapter 549
More regulatory information essential to your project. It is available from the Department of Transport web site at www.tc.gc.ca. Go to the section on CARS and follow the links.

2. AC 4313 AS AMENDED
This is an Aeronautical Circular published by the FAA. It is an invaluable reference, explaining the proper methods and techniques of construction. It can be ordered from Hammond Aviation at 519-648-3464, or your local aviation supply house may have it. Some community colleges which have aviation departments may also carry it.

SOME TIPS TO HELP YOU COMPLETE THE FORMS
Name of builder: Must be the name of a person or persons. (Partnerships are acceptable). We cannot accept the name of a company as an aircraft builder. You must also ensure that the name(s) of the builder(s) remain consistent on all documents at all times.
If you add or delete a member of a partnership, you must file an amendment with MD-RA.

Make, model and serial number of aircraft: All amateur built aircraft are, by definition, unique products, and the name is decided by you, the manufacturer. The names of certified aircraft are not permitted, even if your aircraft is based on or modelled after such an aircraft. You must supply a serial number when you file your letter of intent.

Max Take off Weight: must be declared on the Letter of Intent

NOTES ON SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY
MD-RA has chosen to use the Adobe Acrobat .pdf format for downloadable documents. This format is sufficiently common that we have settled it as our standard. You can get a copy of the software to use these documents at the follwing link: www.adobe.com

Occasionally, no matter what we do, some methods do not work. If you cannot get the documents on line, call us at 1-877-419-2111, or write to md-ra@md-ra.com and we will make alternate arrangements.

USE OF FACSIMILE
If you request a fax, please make sure you are set up for automatic reception, as we do not send manually. We are set up for automatic reception, 24 hours a day.
